Beccs 'Fallen Angels' Cardiff Tour - Feb 4th-6th 2005

Day Two - Saturday Evening..

So with red shirts running around madly and jumping all over the show, the girls met up again outside the boiling pub to move on for the evening. Cardiff was manic. The queues for the pubs were enormous and there were people just milling about everywhere. So only one thing for it - have instruments must play! An impromptu busking session took place - the bowler hats, great steals the night before came in useful and we did get some money - honest! Must have been Sniffers 'Lambeth Walk' that did it and not the recorders!

Food seemed like a good idea but where to find food for 24 when the whole of Cardiff was packed? Easy, a wee Mr Ben restaurant that was tiny at the front but massive inside and served up some really welcome grub, even if the waitresses were extremely young. How many marks for style given to Gump on how to eat meat..?!

And then it was onto a dancy pub for some fun via the cash point where Stalker made a quick faux pas by taking her card and then not seeming interested in the money ha ha! In the queue for the pub it became clear why Barbie had worn a long furry Russian coat as she must have been the only warm one! But we were soon in and drinking the test-tubes on offer that night - what the hell was in them?!

Sniffer made an immediate impression on a wee man - well he wasn't so wee but she did get a couple of drinks out of him before having to do a strategic disappearing act for a while. Sicknote displayed far too much flesh on the dance floor and her moves with the guitar demonstrated to us that she can't possibly claim bad health for missing training anymore!!

After a bit of a dance downstairs the ladies returned upstairs where they took over the little window area which became a bit of a stage. With the DJ acknowledging Beccs Ladies we had a grand sing-song of 'the one and only' - stirring stuff! With more test-tubes finding a home and with more strange characters roaming around, the ladies were flying once more and enjoying entertaining the packed pub.

Little Miss managed like magic to find the only other kiwi in the house! Britney did her Steph impressions and everyone had a really good boogie. Trolley managed to find a Welsh scarf from somewhere - why?! Fingers made off with a smart Smirnoff ice bucket and Vonnie performed big time on the stage and for this she was heavily fined especially for losing those charcoal tablets!!

Other memorable moments were singing 'We are the Champions' numerous times with the Welsh but singing at the top of our voices at the correct moment "OF THE WORLD!" Sad but true. Hammer time created some fun with Sniffer becoming Cameron Diaz - where did Sniff go? Sadly it was soon 3am and time to get turfed out. The place looked like a bomb had hit it and an international banjo incident was only just avoided with Sniff's banjo being returned at the opportune moment.

The evening was completed with a walk back through Cardiff town centre, filled with drunken Welsh and rubbish. What a night.
