With the League win wrapped up last week, it was time for Beccehamian Ladies to go on Tour to Dublin as Division 5 SE (E) League Champions!

In a mad plan, which seemed to make sense at the time, it was agreed that everyone would meet at the Club on Friday evening and stay there overnight until the mini-bus for Heathrow picked us up at 3.30am in the morning. What a good idea - so we’d be fresh and bright-eyed for the long day ahead..

Arriving in Dublin at the crack of dawn there was just time to have a slap-up breakfast, actually the third breakfast of the day, including the pint of Guinness (for breakfast - yuck!) before heading off around Temple Bar to find an open pub. Isn't Dublin supposed to be home to the pub? Well they were all blordy closed at that time of morning - what was going on?! Still One Pint found her Mojo for the second time this year!

By ten-ish we had a possie of people following us around in search of a pub, including the men in Guinness T-shirts who kept taking photos? Who were they? what was that all about? Where are those photos going to end up?

Luckily we manage to find the Aulde Dubliner and settled in for a well-earned drink. The empty pub soon became full which was mightily strange - haven't people seen ladies rugby teams before?

We settled in with a few drinking games and a few quick games of yee-ha and bunnies which strangely included some new viking actions. We also attempted a couple of songs which were well appreciated by the smiling bar-man.

It was at this point we were approached by a man with a very BIG camera for some photos. Suspecting something strange going on, we volunteered immediately and trooped outside to have some group shots done before going back in for some singles. Seems this man was a freelance photographer - fame for Beccs Ladies?

With the time approaching mid-day and after a couple of good hours drinking, things became blurry - is this normal in Dublin pubs? And Beccs ladies began to radiate out from their corner of the pub to socialise and make friends with the jolly crowd around the pub.

Where's Duncan?

It became a Tour mission to find Duncan, after Fish asked our cab driver at the airport if he knew Duncan in Temple Bar.. We spent many a moment asking if anyone knew Duncan but we never managed to find him. We even had a pint lined up in each bar we went to for Duncs but he never materialised. Duncan if you're reading this - drop us a line on the message board!
