Beccs Edinburgh Tour - 1st - 3rd Feb 2002

Day Three - Court

The last day of Tour dawned not so bright and very rainy and windy but it was a good turnout for breakfast with only one missing from the fry-up. And with many a song in our heads we bade farewell to the wee Murrayfield and set off onto the journey home, feeling battered and worn by a long hard weekend (well for some of us anyway.)

The journey home seemed to take an awfully long time, perhaps it was the de-tour through the Lake District which held us up? Still we were kept mightily entertained by Jo telling us stories of lava plugs and rock formations, and also learning with horror that a retrograde Mercury cycle was bearing down upon us all. It was almost with relief that it was time for Tour Court and we could sink into the comfort of our Vodka and Red Bull fines. The following are a number of crimes punished:
  • failure to wear Tour shirt at all times
  • being late to the station
  • being late to the pub
  • singing at inappropriate times
  • carrying of a handbag or rucksack
  • constant use of mobile phones
  • being a tourist! whilst on Tour
  • shopping whilst on Tour
  • banging heads against the train windows
  • 'Is he really called Hamish McDucky?'
  • pulling blind men, gay men, blind gay men, very young men, men from Sutton Caulfield, Jim Bowen, gynaecologists and gynaecologists sons.
These will form the basis to set Tour Rules for our next trip.
