Legless Riverdance
More buskers
More strangeness
Come on England!
Come on England!
Saturday arrived, far too early and far too bright but arrived just the same as Beccs met up for breakfast. Having planned to watch the Scotland - England match in the pub the ladies were stunned to be told they had been given (thats given) 10 tickets for the match. So after a names in the hat session the lucky winners donated £30 each to the whip and pocketed their tickets gladly. Another four were bought easily from a nearby hotel for face-value and with £120 added to the whip from the recipients of these it meant the whip for the day was in a very fat and healthy state!

Failing all tests for organisational efficiency, the ladies finally set off for the ground with a gentle bus-ride through town. Suddenly the territory began to look extremely familiar for those few ladies who had been on Beccs first tour to Edinburgh in 2002. And there was the Murrayfield Bar - our old friend!

This year it was Vinnie who kept up tour tradition by feeling extremely tired and spending most of lunchtime asleep in the corner of the pub. The rest had a quiet drink and attempted a very cramped circle of drinking games before attempting to complete their days missions.

All of a sudden appeared a group of Irishmen in Irish jerseys and hats - how strange! Ireland were playing the next day against Wales in Ireland - we feared that these boys were slightly confused and lost. And even more so when we heard how high their voices could go.

Lumber's stalker friend turned up at the pub with some Scottish friends and after a few more drinks we did a little entertaining with a few of our all-time favourite ladies rugby songs. I'm sure everyone appreciated them - we did get some encouragement so it couldn't have been all bad!

And then it was time for the match!

Those with tickets made their way to the stadium whilst those without resigned themselves to watching the match in the Murrayfield with lots of miserable Scots! To be fair the girls did try to cheer them up but they didn't appear to appreciate choruses of 'Swing Low'.
