After the match we headed back to the Murrayfield Hotel which was rather jam-packed with lots of rugby-loving people. There was a lot of singing going on in the bar upstairs and when Kelly (of course - who else..?) decided to investigate we found ourselves in the middle of a room filled with a bloke’s rugby team, all singing away at the top of their voices.
We then had a stirring performance made mostly to Kelly who was made to stand on a chair, of a French classic, in which Kelly almost gave us all a quick flash of ‘her saggy tits’. Not to be outdone we gave a good rendition of ‘Rugby Men’ to the boys, followed by the hey-diddling ‘My husbands a ...’ song. Chaos followed and the finale came with a combined effort on ‘Sunshine Mountain’ which was enjoyed by all (apart from perhaps Jo who had the fat-man ha ha)
Dinner that evening is blurry, as was the food. Have you ever had hot melon with cheesy sauce and raspberries? - very bizarre. We were serenaded during the meal by a lone piper collecting money for charity. He strangely ignored Lou’s promise of a tenner if he played ‘Swing Low, Sweet Chariot’. D’Artagnan was also there in full musketeer gear. Don’t ask why.
On into town - Sarah, Jo and Sam let down the side by showing their newbie status on tour by singing on the bus. However, Sam did manage to meet a nice Scottish lad by ‘feeling his hem’. (A short time later Jo scared him off by telling him the history of Edinburgh Castle.)
