26th Sep 2004 - Beccs ladies win 22-5 at home to New Ash Green
Beccs Ladies 1st league match against Sidcup was called off this weekend so a last-minute friendly against New Ash Green was arranged.
In a positive game played with good spirit by both sides, Beccs were the eventual winners 22-5 with Lou Dennis making her comeback from maternity leave with a try, Vice Captain Caz Waugh going under for another and new recruit Becky Edney having a great debut running in two tries in her first match. Caz Waugh also converted one of them.
Players of the match were therefore Becky Edney making a great debut, Steph Cleough who had a great game as forward of the match and Players Player (voted for by all the team) was Lou Dennis for a great first match back. She certainly hasn't lost it!
Our mascot for the day was Francesca Bull one of Beccs U11 girls, a star of the future. Thanks Francesca!
Our next match is away to Thanet Wanderers on 10th October in Division 3 SE-E.
